Join our team! We provide services to individuals who need mobility transportation. We are specially equipped to transport riders in wheelchairs and stretchers. The driver will provide the assistance required to safely transport patients and caregivers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Picks up patients at home, hospital or facility. Provides the assistance required to safely transport patients and caregivers.
- Operates mobility vehicles for safe and comfortable patient transportation.
- On arrival at location, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.
- Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required.
- Completes reports at the end of a shift.
- Checks all equipment for future readiness, maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and supplies.
- Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation.
- Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors and coworkers.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor or dispatch.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- 12 hour shifts possible
REQUIRED:
- Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
- Fluency in English required.
- Satisfactory completion of a company training program in wheelchair and/or stretcher techniques, CPR, First Aid and sensitivity training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and position patients frequently. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping and bending.
- Hearing and vision abilities within normal range to drive safely and to observe and communicate with patients.
- Regular exposure to injuries and illness.
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to the risk of bloodborne diseases.
PAY RATE:
- $14-$18 depending on experience.
- Paid training during evaluation period - $14 a hour (approximately one week)
JOB TYPES:
Full-time, Part-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
